Error: Email address used in a different Guesty account

If you employ others to assist you with your business, you can create a user for them in Guesty to assign permissions, grant access to specific platform features, and communicate effectively. For example, your cleaning team will receive notifications for tasks you assign.

If you see the error “email address used in a different Guesty account”, it means the email is already in use.

To resolve this, you have two options:

  • For Gmail users:

    Add +1 before the @. For example, change jane@gmail.com to jane+1@gmail.com. Emails will be sent to the same inbox.

  • For all other users:

    Ask the user to contact the admin of the other account to remove the email if they’re still in touch with them. However, if the user no longer has contact with the admin, kindly use a different email address instead.
