Applying additional fees to a Booking Engine API reservation

Once you create a Booking Engine API instance and an inventory of additional fees for your account or an individual listing, you can choose which fees to apply by default to your Booking Engine API. These fees are visible to potential guests when confirming their reservation. If you have more than one Booking Engine API instance set up, the fees apply to all of them.

Account-level additional fees

Follow the instructions below to apply account-level to your Booking Engine API.

Step by step:

1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
2. In the side navigation menu, click Financials to open the dropdown menu.
3. Under Items, select Additional fees.
4. In the top right corner, click Edit.
5. If the relevant fee already exists, click the downward arrow to the right of it. Otherwise, click Add new to create the required fee.
6. Toggle on the Add fee to reservations from specific sources option.
7. From the dropdown next to "Manual sources", select Booking engine API.
8. Click Save.
9. Read the information in the pop-up, and click Confirm.

Listing-level additional fees

Follow the instructions below to apply listing-level fees to your Booking Engine API.

Step by step:

1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
2. In the side navigation menu, click Properties.
3. Click on the relevant listing.
4. In the left-side menu, click Financials.
5. Scroll down to the "Additional Fees" section.
6. In the top right corner of the "Additional Fees" section, click .
7. If Use Account Settings is checked, uncheck it.
8. Read the information in the pop-up, and click Save.
9. If the relevant fee already exists, click to the right of it, otherwise click Add another fee to create the required fee.
10. Check Apply automatically to reservations from.
11. From the dropdown next to "Manual sources", select Booking engine API.
12. Click Save.
13. Read the information in the pop-up, and click Save.
14. In the top right corner of the Additional Fees section, click Done.
