You can apply additional fees to your reservations and charge your guests for extra services, such as cleaning fee, parking and late checkout.
Tip:
Since your guest currently cannot specify whether or not they bring their pets via the booking engine \ website, the pet fee cannot be automatically added to the reservation. As a workaround, you can add the fee manually.
Before you begin
Pro users
- Can set additional fees on the account level or per a specific listing.
- Can choose which fees to apply specifically for reservation via your Guesty Booking Engine (Booking Website for Lite users). These fees will be visible to potential guests only when they confirm their reservation. If you have more than one Booking Engine set up, the fees will apply to all of them.
Follow the instructions below to apply account-level or listing-level fees to your Booking Engine.
Lite users
- Can apply additional fees only per listing.
- Can set additional fees to all channels, but not to specific sources such as for reservations received from the Booking Engine.
Follow the instructions below to apply listing-level fees to your Booking Website.
Set additional fees on the Account level (Pro users)
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Financials mode.
- Click Financial settings and select Additional fees.
- Under the "Additional fees and charges", scroll down to to locate your desired fee.
- If the relevant fee already exists, click the up arrow to the right of it, otherwise scroll down and click Add another fee to create it.
- In the top-right corner of this section, click Edit.
- Turn Add fee to reservations from specific sources toggle on.
- Under "Manual sources", from the dropdown menu, select website. If you see multiple instances of "website", select all of them.
- At the top right, click Save.
- Read the information in the pop-up, and click Confirm.
Set additional fees on the Listing level
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Properties.
- Click the relevant listing.
- In the left-side menu, click Pricing & Policies, then select Pricing.
- Scroll down to the "Additional fees & charges" section, and click Edit.
- If "Use your account's default settings" is toggle is turned on, turn it off.
- Read the information in the pop-up, and click Confirm.
- If the relevant fee already exists, click the up arrow to the right of it, otherwise click Add another fee to create it. Then, fill in the fields with the relevant information.
- Switch on the Add fee to reservations from specific sources toggle
- From the dropdown menu under "Manual sources", select website. If you see multiple instances of "website", select all of them.
- at the top right, click Save.
- Read the information in the pop-up, and click Confirm.
Lite users: you can apply additional fees to all your channels by default, not just for the Booking Engine, as described below.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click Listings.
- Click the relevant listing.
- In the left-side menu, click Pricing & Policies, then select Pricing.
- Scroll down to the "Additional fees & charges" section, and click Edit.
- If "Use your account's default settings" toggle is turned on, turn it off.
- Read the information in the pop-up, and click Confirm.
- If the relevant fee already exists, click the up arrow to the right of it, otherwise click Add another fee to create it. Then, fill in the fields with the relevant information.
- Turn on the sync fee to channels toggle. Then, click Save.
- Read the information in the pop-up, and click Confirm.
