Using custom fields for reservations as sending conditions in Automated Messages

The information in this article is relevant only for Pro users at this time.

Custom fields for reservations that have a yes/no answer can be added as a sending condition to an Automated Message to determine whether or not that message is added to reservations.

After adding the custom field sending condition, activate it for the relevant reservation to make sure the message is added to it. Follow the instructions below.

Add the custom field sending condition

Step by Step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Automations.
  4. Click the relevant workflow, then click the three vertical dots on the right side of it and select Edit.
  5. If the relevant automated message already exists on the reservation timeline, select it. Otherwise, click any + icon to begin creating a new message. 
  6. Under "Add conditions", click +Add condition.
  7. Click Search to begin typing the custom field's name or select it from the drop-down.
  8. Toggle the sending condition on or off, as needed.
  9. At the bottom of the pop-up, click Done.

Activate the reservation's custom field

Step by Step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Reservations.
  4. Click the relevant listing.
  5. In the "Extra information" section, click the pencil icon.
  6. Scroll down to the relevant custom field and turn on the checkbox.
  7. At the top of the section, click Save.
