Tedee is a smart lock system offering auto-opening, access sharing, notifications, and more. Integrate with voice assistants and smart home systems. Tedee generates access codes and tracks door access for each reservation, allowing your guests to access the property via their smartphone or a keypad. Follow the instructions below to connect TeDee to Guesty.

Tip:

Access codes are populated in the “Keycode” field in Guesty to be used in Automated Messages.

Copy the Guesty API Key

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the icon drop-down menu and select Setup mode.
  3. Click Integrations, then select Marketplace.
  4. On the Tedee thumbnail, click Connect.
  5. In the top right corner, click Connect.
  6. Click the API Key to copy it.
  7. Click Ok.

Connect TeDee With Guesty

Step by step:

  1. In the Tedee dashboard, click Short term rentals.
  2. Under "Guesty", click Connect.
  3. Paste your Guesty token into the “API Key” field.
  4. Click Connect.
After connecting, Tedee will automatically import your Guesty listings, under the "Accommodations" tab.

Assign Tedee locks to Your Imported Guesty Listings

Step by step:

  1. Click on the three dots next to the listing name.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. From the drop down, select the lock you would like to associate with the listing.
  4. Select how many days in advance access is to be granted.
Your lock is now associated with the listing and automated.

Sharing key codes with guests

In order to share the key codes with your guests you must set up Automated Messages that include the code variable. Follow the steps below.

  1. Create or edit an automated message to send to guests based on reservation confirmation or check-in. See more information here.
    • Schedule at least 20 minutes after reservation confirmation to allow time for the variable to populate.
  2. In your message content, use the variable {{key_code}}. See more information here.
