Akiles

Akiles allows you to manage you short term rentals' accesses remotely, eliminating the need for keys and cards. Guests will be able to access their rentals with or without their mobile device, even during electricity or internet outages.

Tip:

Access codes are populated in the “Keycode” field in Guesty to be used in automated messages.

Copy the Guesty API key

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click
  3. Click Guesty Marketplace.
  4. Search for "Akiles" then click Connect.
  5. At the top right click Connect.
  6. In the pop-up, copy the Integration token.
  7. Click OK.

Important:

The API token is valid for 4 hours only, proceed to the below steps to connect the partner immediately.

Connect Akiles with Guesty

Tip:

To sign up for an account, click "Contact with Sales" at the top right of the Akiles homepage.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Akiles account.
  2. Navigate to Apps.
  3. Look for Guesty, then click Go.
  4. Authorize the connection between Akiles and Guesty.
  5. Paste the API key copied in the steps above in the “Key” field. 
  6. Select the desired functionalities (email/Pin or magic link)
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Sync and link the Guesty properties to Akiles' groups.

Every time there is a new booking in Guesty, it will sync to Akiles. Akiles will generate the door codes and send them to Guesty.

Sharing key codes with guests

In order to share the key codes with your guests you must set up Automated Messages that include the code variable. Follow the steps below.

  1. Create or edit an automated message to send to guests based on reservation confirmation or check-in. See more information here.
    • Schedule at least 20 minutes after reservation confirmation to allow time for the variable to populate.
  2. In your message content, use the variable {{key_code}}. See more information here.
