Creating an Auto Response template

Ensure every Airbnb guest inquiry is met with a quick reply by using Guesty's Auto Response feature. You can create and edit Auto Response templates at any time. Control both the content of the message and the length of the waiting period before its delivery. Follow the instructions below.

Note:

If the listing is a multi-unit, templates are created via the multi-unit's main settings, rather than via a sub-unit's settings. The template will automatically apply to all sub-units. Learn more here.

Since we are still deploying our new dashboard, follow the instructions for "Legacy navigation" if your search bar is in a blue line above the top navigation bar.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Select the relevant listing.
  5. In the listing's sidebar, click Automation, then select Auto Response.
  6. Turn on the toggle next to each item you wish to activate.
  7. On each item, under "Customize message", type in your response message.
  8. Under "Delay answer", set the number of minutes after which the message will be sent.
  9. Click Save.
  10. When you're ready, click Activate Auto Response. Learn more here.

The delay answer can be between 0-480 minutes (8 hours). You can turn off any of the individual toggles to deactivate certain Auto Responses or deactivate the feature here.

Tip:

Leave the text box empty to use Guesty's default text. You can add variables to customize the messages.
