Activating a payment processing account

This article is relevant for:

You can process credit card transactions in Guesty by connecting one or more payment processor accounts, such as Guesty's internal processor, GuestyPay, or an external processor such as Stripe, Merchant Warrior, or Hyp.

If you have a payment processing account that is currently disabled, you can activate it. Follow the instructions below. Once active, you can follow these instructions to reassign listings to the account.

Before you begin

If you have pending Auto Payments assigned to a reservation connected to a payment processing account that has since been deactivated, the payments will be charged if/when the account is reactivated again.

To avoid these payments being charged, you can do one of the following:

  1. Cancel any existing pending Auto Payments related to the deactivated payment processing account you wish to reactivate.
  2. Delete the payment processing account from Guesty entirely and re-add it. If you choose this option, you will need to manually collect missing payments once you re-add the payment processor.

Activating a GuestyPay account

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Financials mode.
  3. Click Payment processing.
  4. In the "GuestyPay" section, find the account you want to activate and turn on the toggle at the right end of the row. 

Activating other payment processors

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Financials mode.
  3. Click Payment processing.
  4. In the "Other payment processors" section, find the account you want to activate and click the three dots at the right end of the row.
  5. Click Activate account.
