What data is synced between SiteMinder and Guesty and where to manage it

The following listing data syncs from Guesty to SiteMinder. All other updates to a listing's content must be made on both SiteMinder and Guesty.

Rates 

Nightly rates as displayed on the listing's calendar and/or Multi-Calendar. This is known as the "bars rate" on the SiteMinder platform.

Availability

Complex allotments (the number of rooms/units available) are sent to SiteMinder when a change occurs. Changes in allotment can be due to reservations, manual blocks on the calendar, changes to booking windows, and the unlisting of sub-units.

Pilot: The minimum length of stay in Guesty calendar syncs with SiteMinder.

Financials

  • Payments
    • Manage all payments directly on SiteMinder. 
    • Remove all payment automations on Guesty for SiteMinder listings.
  • Taxes
    • Taxes are managed in SiteMinder and sync to Guest as "Other tax". 
    • If taxes don't sync from SiteMinder to Guesty and is missing from a reservation, add the tax manually as a line item in the guest folio.
