Troubleshooting: New owner sees previous owner's historical data

The Owners Portal is a separate website from Guesty where your property owners can view data about their properties, track earnings, block dates for personal stays, and more.

When a property is transferred to a new owner mid-year, the new owner's portal displays all historical data for the listing — including reservations, revenue, and statements from before they took ownership.

To prevent this, you can disable revenue visibility for the owner, which hides all financial data.

Important:

This will hide all revenue data, not just pre-transfer data.

Follow the steps below to hide revenue visibility for an owner in the Owners Portal.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the side navigation menu, click icon Operations to open the dropdown menu.
  3. Under Portfolio, select Owners.
  4. Select the relevant owner and, in the left-side menu, click Portal settings.
  5. Uncheck the following checkboxes:
    • Owner Revenue
    • Revenue per listing
    • Revenue by booking sources
    • Accommodation fare
    • Average nightly rate
    • Net rental income
    • Average booking value
    • Nightly rate
    • Total payout
    • Display Revenue Loss
