A fix deployed on January 20, 2026, ensures that additional fees for Booking.com reservations now automatically sync from parent properties to sub-units. This allows fees to be deducted from the accommodation fare and displayed as separate line items in the guest folio.
However, because this update only applies to new reservations, you may still see discrepancies in reservations created before this date.
What's happening
Additional fees are bundled into the accommodation fare and aren't appearing as separate line items.
The guest folio or financial reports don't show specific fees for sub-unit reservations.
The reservation was confirmed before January 20, 2026.
How to fix it
For reservations created before the update, you must manually adjust the guest folio to separate the fees from the accommodation fare.
Follow the steps below to manually add missing fees to a guest folio:
Step by step:
Sign in to your Guesty account.
Click Reservations in the top menu.
Select the relevant Booking.com reservation.
Click Financials in the left-side menu.
Check the "Accommodation fare" to confirm the fee is bundled inside the total.
- Click Add item to add the missing fee (for example, a cleaning or pet fee) as a new line item.
- Deduct the fee amount from the "Accommodation fare" so the total reservation balance remains accurate.
Click Save.
Tip:
Refer to our step-by-step guide on adjusting the guest folio for more details.
Prevent future missing fee issues
- Always set up fees at the parent property level.
- Guesty blocks syncing of fees set directly on sub-units, helping avoid visibility issues.
Note:
If you connect to Booking.com via a manual source or API, always configure additional fees on the parent property so they appear correctly in the guest folio.
