Pilot: Connecting AutoComply in Austria

Guesty’s AutoComply add-on streamlines regulatory compliance by automating the collection and reporting of guest data to authorities. This feature reduces your administrative workload and ensures compliance with local regulations, while allowing guests a worry-free stay.

See here for steps on adding and activating AutoComply.

See below for details required to connect AutoComply to Feratel and WIEN Stats VIETour in Austria.

Connect to Feratel

Activate the police connection

In order to connect AutoComply to your Feratel account you first have to reach out to the municipality office and tell them you will send data to Feratel through AutoComply (company code VT: CheKin). They will have to activate on your Feratel account the connection to AutoComply and provide you with a community number (Gemeinde) and a mapping code (Objektcode).

Add details in AutoComply

Once you have the credentials with you:

Step by step:

  1. Log in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the integration center icon
  3. Select Guesty Add-ons from the dropdown menu.
  4. Under “AutoComply”, click Launch.
  5. In the lefthand menu, click Properties.
  6. Click a property to connect it to AutoComply.
  7. Search or filter for the relevant property, then click Police Connection.
  8. Select Austria Feratel in the first field then fill the additional fields:
    1. Community number (Gemeinde)
    2. Mapping code (Objektcode).
  9. Click Validate. Then, click Save changes.
  10. At the top right, click Next.

In case you get an error while trying to validate the credentials added in AutoComply it may be for one of the following reasons:

  • Codes added in AutoComply are not correct
  • Municipality has not activated the connection of your Feratel interface in those units to AutoComply

If you want to check if the credentials are correct or not:

  1. Copy and paste this link into the browser search bar.
  2. Next to betriebnr= replace XXXX with the mapping code.
  3. Next to oestat= replace XXXX with the community number.
  4. Click Enter.

If you get the below answer we suggest you to reach out to the local office because credentials may be not correct or they just forgot to activate the connection with AutoComply:

Activate the Guests Cards generation and sending

AutoComply is the only software for the online check-in that offers you not only the possibility to send guests data automatically to Feratel but also to request Feratel to generate the guest cards for the guests and send an email to them automatically with the cards attached.

In order to automate this, toggle on Activate Feratel guest cards in the Legal section of the Properties tab.

Once activated we will ask guests for their private email address. Once we send guest data to Feratel, we will require Feratel to generate the guest cards for those guests and provide them with those cards via email.
