Owner stays are shown as blocked dates on a property's calendar, and aren't displayed in the Reservations section in Guesty — this section displays guests' reservations only.
However, you can easily cancel an owner's stay in Guesty through the Guesty Inbox, Multi-Calendar, or via the Owners Portal.
Follow the instructions below to cancel an owner's stay through the Inbox or Multi-calendar.
Before you begin
- Once you cancel an owner's stay, it can't be restored.
You'll need to create a new reservation again. - Once the owner's stay is canceled, the dates will be available on all booking channels.
- Any scheduled automated messages will be canceled
- Both you and your owner will receive automated emails once the reservation has been canceled.

Canceling an owner's reservation via the Inbox
Follow the instructions below to cancel an owner's stay via the Guesty Inbox.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click

- On the left sidebar, click
.
- Search for the relevant reservation, and click it to open the conversation.
- In the widget located on the right, click the pencil icon.
- Click the dropdown menu next to Status and channel.
- Under Status click the dropdown menu and change the status to canceled.
- In the pop-up, select the person who is canceling the reservation.
Making a note of the reason for cancellation is optional. - Click Update to canceled.
- Click Save.
The status will now reflect as canceled.
Canceling an owner's reservation via the Multi-Calendar
Follow the instructions below to cancel an owner's stay through the Multi-Calendar.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click

- In the left sidebar, search for the relevant listing.
- Click the owner's reservation you'd like to cancel.
- In the widget located on the right, click
.
- Click Edit reservation.
- Click the dropdown menu next to Status and channel.
- Under Status click the dropdown menu and change the status to canceled.
- In the pop-up, select the person who is canceling the reservation.
Making a note of the reason for cancellation is optional. - Click Update to canceled.
- Click Save.
The status will now reflect as canceled.
