Data related to locks is permanently removed from Guesty in the following situations. Once removed, the data cannot be retrieved.
Lock is unlinked from a property
When a lock is unlinked from one of multiple properties, guest codes related to the property’s reservations are removed from Guesty and guest code history related to the property’s reservations is removed.
When the lock is unlinked from all properties, team member codes are also removed.
Important:
Check the lock provider app to remove any unused codes.
Listing that has linked lock is deactivated
When a listing is deactivated, the property is automatically unlinked from all locks after 72 hours.
Lock removed from lock provider account
When a lock is removed from the lock provider account, it remains linked in Guesty Locks Manager. Unlink and delete it in Guesty to remove data. The option to delete a lock appears only once the lock is no longer in the provider account.
Account deactivated
72 hours after account deactivation, all locks are unlinked from properties. Additionally, the lock providers are disconnected from the account and all data is removed.
