You can set a primary phone number for your contacts, whether they are guests (listed in the Contacts section) or other recorded contacts (listed in the Phonebook section). When a contact has only one phone number, that number will be set as the primary number by default.
Limitations
- If you enter a phone number with too many digits, the number won't be saved. This includes numbers imported to Guesty from the booking channel.
- There can only be one phone number for each of your vendors and owners.
- When saving a guest's phone number, you must include the area code and omit the plus (+) character. Otherwise, you may encounter a save or validation error on the reservation.
Set a primary number
There are two ways to set a primary phone number, depending on the type of contact:
- Via Contacts: For guests.
- Via Phone book: For non-guest contacts, such as vendors or service providers.
