4WiFi automates the wifi passwords generation for your guests. It provides a simple way to secure the WiFi at your sites to best protect you and your guests. It also provides optional content filtering to help ensure a safe browsing experience.

Copy the Guesty API key

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click
  3. Click Guesty Marketplace.
  4. Search for "4WiFi" then click Connect.
  5. At the top right click Connect.
  6. In the pop-up, copy the Integration token.
  7. Click OK.

Important:

The API token is valid for 4 hours only, proceed to the below steps to connect the partner immediately.

Connect 4WiFi with Guesty

  1. Sign in to 4WiFi. Don't have an account yet? Sign up here.

  2. Navigate to Guesty > Configuration and complete the following information:

    1. Wifi Prefix field: Edit your prefix if needed (Company initials, company name or similar)

    2. Custom queue: Determines bandwidth shaping of the 4WiFi (If assistance is needed, reach out to 4WiFi). Click Save.

    3. Integrating Key field: paste your API token copied in the above steps, then click Connect.

  3. 4WiFi will link up to Guesty and update Listings automatically.

  4. Linking the Router "Slots" to the correct Listings. The networks for Private devices (Cameras/Door Locks etc) will be available as well as for Smart TVs associated to each router slot.

  5. 4WiFi will create 2 custom fields in each reservation that will allow guests to connect to internet when they check-in: 4wifi_passphrase and 4wifi_ssid. Follow the steps below to share these with your guests.

Sharing wifi codes with guests

In order to share the WiFi codes with your guests you must set up Automated Messages that include the code variable. Follow the steps below.

  1. Create or edit an automated message to send to guests based on reservation confirmation or check-in. See more information here.
    • Schedule at least 20 minutes after reservation confirmation to allow time for the variable to populate.
  2. In your message content, use the variables {{4wifi_passphrase}} and {{4wifi_ssid}}. See more information here.
