Guesty receives Vrbo messages via the booking's proxy email address. If a guest has multiple bookings, Guesty receives a unique proxy email address for each, but merges them into a single conversation in the Guesty Inbox.
Additionally, when messages are sent from the Guesty inbox to an unconfirmed Vrbo booking, personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, company names, website links, and any marketing content are hidden in the Vrbo inbox for privacy reasons.
Company Names
If you send an automated message with a link to the guest app and the link is hidden, it is likely that you sent a message to an unconfirmed booking. This happens when a guest with an unconfirmed booking sends a message regarding a confirmed booking.
To resolve this issue:
- Set the guest's private email address as the primary address and send the link to their private email address.
- Ask the guest to send a message via the confirmed booking.
