Se reconoce parcialmente a Guesty en contabilidad.

Yes, we do. In the business model, you choose the PMC commission recognition date, such as the check-in or check-out date. That date applies to the owner's VAT (if you charge VAT on your commission) and net rental income (since your commission is calculated from the net rental income).

If you use cash accounting and your guest pays part of the reservation, we will check, on the PMC commission recognition date, if that payment is sufficient to cover the 3 transactions:

  • NRI
  • PMC Commission
  • Owner's VAT

If the partial payment is greater than the sum of these transactions, we will recognize it.

Example:

The total amount of the reservation is $2,000.

The guest pays $1,500 upon check-in.

Since the PMC commission is recognized upon check-in, we add the 3 transactions upon check-in:

  • NRI: $1,600
  • PMC Commission: -$100
  • Owner's VAT: -$50

The sum is less than what the guest paid (1,600-100-50=$1,450), so we recognize the guest's partial payment.

Note:

All other transactions, such as additional fees or taxes not included in the NRI calculation, will only be recognized when the reservation is fully paid.
