Swikly is a safe, third party specialized in the management of online security deposits for tourism and short-term rental players. Thanks to Swikly, you can protect a rented property from damages, without the constraints of checks, transfers, or payment terminals, and without debiting or even blocking the limits of your renters' credit cards. The service also includes the management of any disputes with tenants, as well as a payment guarantee for the landlord.

Requesting balance payment & filing a security deposit via Swikly

You can easily request a security deposit from your guests and pay their balance, at the same time. You can send a single form to the guest' email a few days before the check-in via Guesty's Workflow / Automated Message. The form includes a clickable link, redirecting the guest to a Swikly form. From there, your guest can proceed to pay their balance / file a security deposit by entering their bank details. Also, the guest can insert their estimated check-in/check-out times.
As soon as the guest files a deposit and/or pays their balance, the Swikly App will automatically update the Guesty reservation with this information.

Copy the Guesty API Key

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. Click here to Connect to Swikly V2.
  3. In the pop-up, copy the Integration token.
  4. Click OK.


The API token is valid for 4 hours only, proceed to the below steps to connect the partner immediately.

Connect Swikly With Guesty

Step by Step:

You need to install the Swikly App. If you don't have a Swikly account yet, you can create one via the app.
If you’re not a customer yet, sign up here.  Contact Swikly Sales to receive a special price offer.
  1. Log in to your Swikly account.
  2. In the top right menu, click Partners then Guesty.
  3. Paste the key copied in the steps above into the "Account API Access Key" field. 
  4. Validate, and you will see "Account activated".
  5. Then, just below, select the option that suits you best:
    1. Security deposit only: the Swikly form will ask for a credit card imprint to secure a deposit amount.
    2. Payment only: the Swikly form will ask to collect the balance.
    3. Security deposit + balance payment: the Swikly form will collect the deposit and the balance payment on the credit card in one transaction.
  6. This information is automatically recorded. A blue pop-up appears in the lower right corner to notify you that the option has been validated.
    • Your Guesty and Swikly accounts are now linked! The security deposit collection link will be generated.
  7. In order to complete the setup, you need to configure the emails to be sent from Swikly to be sent to guests and collect the security deposits. Additional information can be found here.
