This article accompanies our step-by-step instructions for creating a new multi-unit listing in Guesty. The information below will help you understand the specific multi-unit settings you will encounter when creating the listing.

Connection method

Choose from creating the sub-units as new (select Create new listing), or using existing Guesty listings to create the listing's sub-units (select Connect existing listings and type in the name of the listing you'd like to connect).

Auto-assign reservations to listings

When a reservation is created manually in Guesty, or received from a booking channel, the reservation will be immediately assigned to a sub-unit.

Use the auto-assign feature to automatically assign reservations to listings and sub-units.

You can do this in one of two ways:

  • Automatically x days before check-in
When a reservation is created manually in Guesty, or received from a booking channel, the reservation will automatically be assigned to a sub-unit a number of chosen number days before check-in.
If you select this option, you'll also need to enter the relevant number of days.
  • Don't auto-assign
Reservations will need to be assigned to their sub-units manually.
Learn how in our multi-units overview.

Note:

Reservations are only automatically assigned if they are confirmed. Reservations with an "Inquiry" or "Reserved" status will not be automatically assigned. Keep in mind, a "Reserved" status blocks dates on the calendar.

Tip:

A reservation will remain unassigned if there aren't enough consecutive nights available on the calendar. You can make room for this reservation by relocating other reservations to different sub-units. Learn how to view a report of all unassigned reservations.
