Use the posting journal to create an accounting custom view and sort transactions according to filters you choose, such as the date of the transaction or type of journal entry. See below how you can create an Accounting Custom View.
Add a filter
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Accounting mode.
- Click General ledger and select Posting journal from the dropdown menu.
- From the dropdown above "Filters" to the left, click All.
- Click the view you want to add a filter to.
- To the right of "Filters", click the plus icon.
- In the pop-up, select the relevant filter and fill in the information.
- Click Save.
- To the top-right, click Save as.
- In the pop-up, name the new Custom View.
- Click Save.
The Custom View will be added to the dropdown above "Filters", under "All".
Tip:
You can mark a Custom View as a "Favorite" by hovering over it and clicking the star to the right. It will be added to the "Favorites" section of the dropdown.
Edit or remove a filter

Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.

- Click the view with the filter you want to edit.
- To the right of "Filters", hover over the filter you want to edit and click the pencil icon.
- In the pop-up, select the relevant option.
- Click Save.
- To the top-right, click Save as.
- In the pop-up, name the new Custom View.
- Click Save.
Remove filter
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Accounting mode.
- Click General ledger and select Posting journal from the dropdown menu
- From the dropdown above "Filters" to the left, click All.
- Click the view with the filter you want to remove.
- To the right of "Filters", hover over the filter you want to remove and click X.
- To the top-right, click Save as.
- In the pop-up, name the new Custom View.
- Click Save.
Note:
In addition to Custom Views you can create, Guesty provides several Default Views.
