Extending or Shortening Manual Reservations via Inbox

This is relevant for manual reservations or those made through the Guesty Booking Website.

With Guesty's Inbox Widget, you can view and edit reservation details while maintaining complete access to guest communication. Extend or shorten a guest's reservation before or after check-in. Follow the instructions below.

Step by step:

Beta navigation users, please note that the steps below refer to the navigation as seen in the Legacy mode. Read more here about locating menu items in the new navigation.

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, click Inbox.
  3. From the drop-down, click Guests Inbox.
  4. Click the relevant message thread on the left side.
  5. In the Widget sidebar on the right, click theicon.
  6. At the top of the Widget, click the pencil icon.
  7. Click Dates.
  8. Click the check-in or check-out date and select new dates. 
  9. At the top of the Widget, click Save.

Important:

Once completed, a recalculation of the reservation's price is triggered. If calendar prices have changed for the dates in question since the reservation was created, that will be reflected in the new accommodation fare.

Tip:

If the guest has multiple reservations, you will see an arrow next to the confirmation code at the top of the Widget. Click the arrow and select the relevant reservation from the drop-down.
