Airbnb: Reservations are missing or delayed in Guesty

Guesty syncs every few hours with Airbnb to retrieve available updates for all active integrations with connected listings. However, you may find that occasionally an Airbnb reservation exists on Airbnb, but not on an integrated account in Guesty — or that an Airbnb reservation update is not reflected in Guesty.

This may happen in cases where there was an issue with the integration or the connection of a specific listing. For example, if your account was deactivated due to a failed payment, and then was activated again, all the reservations created while the account was not active won’t sync automatically to Guesty. This can cause missing reservations, missing messages, and possible overbookings.

If your account has been either deactivated or reactivated, please contact us to request a recovery to resync.

Important:

Please note that reactivated accounts will behave the same as deactivated accounts until sync recovery has been completed. This means that even if your account has been reactivated, the listings won't be recovered automatically, and any reservations that were confirmed/canceled before or after your account's deactivation won’t sync to Guesty.

Additionally, due to the delay in the sync between Guesty and Airbnb, reservations may be imported to dates that were blocked. If this happens, first verify that the Guesty and Airbnb listings are actively connected by following the steps below.

ֿStep by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the Airbnb thumbnail.
  5. Click the relevant Airbnb account.
  6. To the right of the relevant listing, view the "Status" column.
    1. If the status is "Connected":
      1. Check that the Airbnb listing ID matches the listing ID of the Airbnb property with the reservation.
      2. If the listing ID's do not match, contact us.
    2. If the status is "Disconnected", select Connect from the drop-down menu.
    3. If the listing status is "Pending" for more than 24 hours, contact us.

Important:

Guesty can only sync reservations on Airbnb listings that are connected with Guesty listings.

 

Other potential reasons for delay

Once you've verified that the listings are actively connected, a delay may be caused by the following:

  • Reservation changes or status updates haven't been synced yet between Airbnb and Guesty
  • Airbnb requires an action from the guest before sending the reservation to Guesty
  • Airbnb may have flagged the listing or account, preventing it from syncing correctly with Guesty
  • Reservations with the following statuses in Airbnb won't be pushed to Guesty:
    • Awaiting guest ID
    • Withdrawn by guest

If the reservation or update is still not synchronized with Guesty after more than 24 hours, contact us.
