Adding a Key Collection Policy to a Listing

Have more questions? Submit a request
Add a key collection policy to your listings to let guests know how they'll enter a property before they book, whether it's by picking up keys from a certain location, or if they'll need to enter via a digital door code. Follow the instructions below to add this policy to a listing in Guesty.

Note:

If the listing is a multi-unit, this feature is managed via the multi-unit's main settings, rather than via a sub-unit's settings. The settings will automatically apply to all sub-units. Learn more.

Beta navigation users, please note that the steps below refer to the navigation as seen in the Legacy mode. Read more here about locating menu items in the new navigation.

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, click Listings.
  3. Click the relevant listing.
  4. In the listing's menu, click Marketing.
  5. Scroll down to the Check-in instructions and key collection section.
  6. Under "Getting into your property", select the relevant option from the drop-down.
  7. Under "Alternative check-in method", select the relevant option from the drop-down.
  8. Under "What else do guests need to know to get inside", enter any relevant information.
  9. To upload an accompanying photo, click Upload photo and select the relevant photo.
  10. Click Save.

Tip:

We recommend only providing basic information in the key collection policy. Use Guesty's Automated Messages feature to send full check-in instructions to guests before they arrive.

You can see which booking channels the information syncs with next to each field.
