Viewing and changing your Airbnb listing's status

Once you've connected your Airbnb listing to Guesty, you'll be able to view the listing status, as well as, take steps to resolve any issues with successfully connecting it to Guesty.

In order to manage your Airbnb listings in Guesty, you must complete these steps:

  1. First, connect your Airbnb and Guesty accounts.
  2. Then, connect/sync your listings (import them from Airbnb).
    Pro users: You can create a listing in Guesty, and then publish it to Airbnb.
  3. Start managing your listings and/or reservations directly in Guesty, and view your listing's status connection.
  4. Follow the status changes until you see it was successfully connected.

You can easily view your listing's status from the Airbnb dashboard via the Guesty Distribution page.

Troubleshooting different listing statuses

Below is a list of the different listing status types and reasons for status changes.

Listing status: Connected

This status means your listing was successfully published on Airbnb.
Once connected, listing updates and data will be pushed from Guesty to Airbnb and vice versa.

During the initial sync process, your sync settings will be set to "Sync everything".

If needed, you can also disconnect your listing from Guesty.

 

Listing status: Not Connected

This status means your listing in Guesty isn't connected to Airbnb yet.
This usually appears when you haven't completed the process to connect your listing in Guesty, or if you've disconnected the listing.

Follow these steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Connect your listing in Guesty via the Airbnb Dashboard.

 

Listing status: Pending

This status means your listing is in the process of publishing.
Once completed, the status will change to "Connected".

An Airbnb account can be stuck in "Pending" status for one of the following reasons:

  • Validation is required on the Airbnb extranet
  • One or more of Airbnb's rules were violated

Follow these steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Check your notifications on the Airbnb extranet to see if any of your listings were flagged for violating Airbnb's rules or if any further validation is necessary.
    1. If there are no notifications related to these issues, follow these instructions to trigger the listing's status to "Connected".
  2. The Airbnb publishing and importing process can take up to 24 hours.
    1. Contact us if the status remains as "Pending" after 24 hours.

 

Listing status: Failed

This status means your listing failed to publish.
An error message will be displayed to the right of the status, explaining why your listing has failed and what needs to be updated in order to successfully connect it.

Follow these steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Connect again by clicking click Retry.
