Reservations booked through Airbnb must be canceled in Airbnb. Once canceled, the reservation's status in Guesty will change to Canceled, and the dates will become available on all booking channels.
You can contact us to cancel an Airbnb reservation in Guesty, but this will not cancel the reservation in Airbnb. Guesty will charge the full fee based on the pre-cancelation reservation payout until an update is received from Airbnb that the reservation should be refunded.
Note:
Airbnb has several reservation statuses, some of which give guests time to update their payment method or provide missing documentation, for example. As a result, there may be a delay between the time a reservation is submitted, and the time it is confirmed. Learn more about these statuses.
