The cleaning fee is static data that is not automatically synced with booking channels. Whenever the cleaning fee is updated in Rentals United, a manual sync needs to be triggered with PUSH channels, such as Marriott Homes & Villas.
Therefore, once a cleaning fee is set in Guesty, you will have to manually sync them to booking channels connected via Rentals United.

You can specify whether the cleaning fee will already be included in a reservation's nightly price or if it should be added separately. Choosing the relevant setting will ensure that the cleaning fee is not charged twice.
Follow the instructions below to set this for each Rentals United account connected to Guesty.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Marketing and sales to open the dropdown menu. - Under Channel management, select Distribution.
- Click the Rentals United thumbnail.
- Click the relevant account.
- In the "Is the cleaning fee included in the reservation nightly price?" section, toggle on or off each booking channel:
- Toggle on if the cleaning fee will be included in the reservation amount.
Once Guesty receives a reservation from Rentals United, the cleaning fee will be deducted from the Rentals United price and added as a separate invoice item. - Toggle off if the cleaning fee will be separate from the reservation amount.
In this case, Guesty will add the cleaning fee invoice item on top of the price received from Rentals United.
- Toggle on if the cleaning fee will be included in the reservation amount.
- In the bottom-right corner, click Save.
The updated settings will apply to new reservations in Guesty. Existing reservations won't be updated.
