Adding Markdowns to a Listing

You can increase or decrease a listing's accommodation fare by a certain percentage by setting up markups and markdowns. Different percentages can be set for each of your connected booking channels, allowing you to make sure that the relevant service fees are covered for each channel.
Markups and markdowns apply to the listing's nightly rate, base price, and weekend base price, as well as the extra person fee. Follow the instructions below to add a markdown to a listing.

Step by step:

Beta navigation users, please note that the steps below refer to the navigation as seen in the Legacy mode. Read more here about locating menu items in the new navigation.

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, click Listings.
  3. Click the relevant listing:
  4. In the listing's menu, click Pricing & Policies.
  5. In the drop-down, click Pricing.
  6. Scroll down to the "Markup/Markdown" section.
  7. Click Edit.
  8. Turn off the "Use your account's default settings" toggle, if currently on.
  9. Select "Decrease accommodation fare by" from the relevant drop-down.
  10. Enter a percentage amount in the relevant "Markup/Markdown" field.
  11. Click Save

For Misterb&b listings, the markdown will be the percentage set for Guesty reservations, which are Booking Website and manual reservations.
