Important:
Some fee combinations are not supported by booking channels. Additionally, channels have different limitations when syncing additional fees. When editing or adding a new fee, please confirm that it did not stop the syncing of any existing fee in place.
When you set up an additional fee in Guesty, for your entire account or a specific listing, you need to decide if it is a fixed amount or percentage, and for each one, you have the following options:
- For a fixed amount, the fee should be added:
- per night
- per guest
- per stay
- per guest per night
- For a percentage, the fee should be calculated based on:
- accommodation fare
- cleaning fee
- entire reservation payout
If you choose to sync the additional fee with booking channels, be aware of the following:
- For Booking.com, fees only sync with listings that were published, not linked. You can follow these instructions to check if a listing is published.
- The fee may appear under a different name on the channel, and fees that are separate in Guesty may be merged under a single fee type on the channel. Read more about this here.
- When we receive the final invoice from the booking channel, we will display the fee type as it was booked in the relevant channel and the internal name you defined for the fee type in your additional fee settings. Read more about this here.
- Some restrictions may apply since not all of the options for "fixed amount" and "percentage" above are supported by all of the channels. Read more about this below to see what each channel does and does not support.
Airbnb
- If you choose a fixed fee, you can only choose "Per stay".
- If you choose a percentage fee, you can only choose "Entire reservation payout".
Vrbo
- If you choose a fixed fee, you can choose "Per night", "Per guest", "Per stay", or "Per guest per night".
- If you choose a percentage fee, you can only choose "Accommodation fare".
Booking.com Published Listings
- If you choose a fixed fee, you can choose "Per night", "Per guest", "Per stay", or "Per guest per night".
- If you choose a percentage fee, you can only choose "Accommodation fare".
TripAdvisor
- Percentage fees are not supported.
- For fixed fees, you can only choose "Per stay".
