Creating a Report of Reservations at Extended Stay Listings

Tip:

Complement your short-term rentals business by offering extended stays. Learn how to optimize your setup in Guesty to easily manage these listings.

Create a customized report for longer stay reservations. You can use the report to easily track the status of guest payments. Add filters to display longer-stay reservations, and columns to show the amounts paid and balances due. Follow the instructions below to create our suggested report.

1. Add Filters

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top menu, click Reservations.
  3. Next to Filters on the left side, click the icon.
  4. Add the following filters. Click each item below for instructions.

Number of Nights


Step by step:
  1. Search for "Number of nights".
  2. Select Number of nights from the list.
  3. Click Equal and select "Is More Than" from the drop-down.
  4. Click Nights and enter the relevant number of nights.
  5. Click Add.

Listing's Tag


This filter is optional, but relevant if you have added tags to your listings that offer extended stays. Learn more.

Step by step:
  1. Search for "Listing's Tag".
  2. Select Listing's Tag from the list.
  3. Search for "ExtendedStay".
  4. Select the ExtendedStay checkbox.
  5. Click Add.

Check-Out Is in the Future


Step by step:
  1. Search for "Check Out".
  2. Select Check Out from the list.
  3. Select Is In The Future.
  4. Click Add.

Status is Confirmed


Step by step:
  1. Search for "Status".
  2. Select Status from the list.
  3. Select Status is canceled.
  4. Click Add.

Note:

The filters you add will appear before the icon. Click any other existing filters and remove them by clicking Remove in the pop-up.

2. Add Columns

Step by step:

  1. Click Columns on the right side.
  2. Select Financials from the list.
  3. Select the following checkboxes.
    • Balance Due.
    • Total Paid.
  4. Above Columns, click Save as New Custom Report.
  5. Add a name for the report.
  6. Click Save.

Note:

Saving the report is optional, but provides quick access to the filters and columns that were added.

Tip:

You can differentiate between longer reservations made via short-term rental booking channels from those from dedicated extended stay channels. Add this data to the report as a column. Learn more.
