Adding markups to a listing

Use markups to increase a listing's accommodation fare by a certain percentage. Different percentages can be set for each connected booking channel, ensuring that the relevant service fees are covered for each channel.

Markups apply to the listing's nightly rate, base price (weekday or weekend), and extra person fee. Follow the instructions below.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Financials mode.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Click the relevant listing. If the listing is a multi-unit, make these changes by editing the main settings of the multi-unit. The changes will apply to all sub-units.
  5. In the left menu, click Pricing & policies and select Pricing.
  6. Find the "Markup/Markdown" section, and click Edit to the right.
  7. If the Use your account's default settings toggle is on, turn it off.
  8. For each booking channel, enter the percentage you want to mark up under "Markup/Markdown". For Misterb&b listings, the markup is the percentage set for manual reservations and reservations made through the booking website.
  9. Click Save.

The price on the booking channel is calculated with the markup. If the resulting price is not a whole number, we will round it up to the nearest whole number. For example, if a 3.5% markup is added to a nightly rate of 51 USD, the price will be 51 x 1.035 = 52.785, and we will round that up to 53 USD.
