Automate the process of leaving guest reviews for your Airbnb reservations by allowing Guesty to post them on your behalf.
You can create a template for the review, choose when you'd like reviews to be posted, and the default star rating. A template can also be edited at any time.
Before you begin
The following requirements must be met for Auto Reviews to work:
- The listing assigned to the reservation in Guesty must be the same as the listing that was booked on Airbnb
- The listing must be connected with its Airbnb counterpart
- Auto Reviews must be activated with templates on the listings that are connected with the Airbnb counterpart

By default, Auto Reviews are sent around midnight the day after check-in
For example: If a guest checks out on Jan. 23 at 1:00 PM, they will receive the Auto Review on Jan. 24 at 12:00 AM.
You can also choose to delay when the Auto Review is sent. - For multi-units, as long as the multi-unit was the listing booked on Airbnb, Auto Reviews will work (regardless of which sub-unit the reservation was assigned to in Guesty)
Note:
If the listing is a multi-unit, the template is created via the multi-unit's main settings, rather than via a sub-unit's settings. The template will automatically apply to all sub-units. Learn more.
Creating an Auto Review template
Important:
In order for the Auto Review feature to successfully function, it’s mandatory to add your own template. Also note that if the Auto Review template was activated after the reservation has been checked in, the feature won’t work.
Templates are created per Guesty listing. You can copy templates to another listing..
Along with customizing the content (text and variables) in the template, you'll be able to select settings for:

Default ratings
A 1-5 star-rating that will be assigned to the reviews. -
Post reviews after
The amount of time to delay a review's posting after it's been submitted.
Follow the instructions below to create an Auto Review template.
Since we are still deploying our new dashboard, follow the instructions for "Legacy navigation" if your search bar is in a blue line above the top navigation bar.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Properties.
- Click the relevant listing.
- In the listing's menu, click Automation.
- From the drop-down, select Auto Reviews.
- Click Add your first template or Add another template.
- Enter the text. Learn how you can add variables to the template to personalize the reviews. For Auto reviews, you can only add the following variables: {{guest}}, {{guest_first}}, and {{listing_address_city}}.
- Click Save.

Tip:
Ensure that you post good reviews in accordance with Airbnb's reviews policy.
Keep in mind, failure to leave guest reviews will lower your Airbnb ranking score.
We also recommend creating several templates to prevent multiple identical reviews.
