You can give each of your team members access to certain functionalities in Guesty by assigning them a role. Each role is a set of permissions that allows them to complete their tasks. While multiple roles can be assigned to each user, we recommend assigning only the most relevant one, since some functionalities may overlap.

Read the information below to understand each role, see examples of team members the role can apply to, and view a breakdown of which functionalities the user will or will not have access to.

Note:

You can assign up to 150 properties to each role.

Account roles

Account admin

Provides full access to the entire Guesty platform.

This role is usually assigned to CEOs or high-ranking managers who require access to all aspects of the business.

Provides full access to Guesty, except for billing-related settings.

You could assign this role to a top-level manager who is not exposed to the company's expenses.

Tip:

If the user needs to be able to connect booking channels, for example, you could assign the account manager role instead of assigning integration manager and listing admin.

Provides editing access to all listing-related features in Guesty, including the inbox and calendars. This role excludes reservation financial-related features, ensuring only team members who handle payments and financials can make those changes.

This role is usually assigned to operational managers who are not in charge of the company's financial aspects.

Calendar roles

Calendar full control

Can complement other roles by providing access to view and manage calendar-based data, such as nightly rates, minimum nights, and manual blocks.

This role is usually applied to team members who work within the company, such as managers or members who manage reservations.

Tip:

This role could also be relevant if you give your property owners access to your Guesty account to see an overview and manage their listing's calendar, but they would not be able to connect new booking channels or change pricing, for example.
Calendar availability control

Can complement other roles by providing access to view and manage the calendar's availability.

You could assign this role to shift managers or cleaners who need to be able to block dates for maintenance purposes.
