Updating a Reservation's Guest Age Breakdown

You can add a breakdown of your guests' age to manual reservations in Guesty or direct reservations, which are reservations made through the Guesty booking website or Guesty booking engine API.

Having the correct number of adults, children, and infants will help you prepare your property for your guests' arrival, if kids or infants are included, for example, and will also allow you to charge your guests correctly, if an extra person fee turns out to be needed, for example.

The age breakdown can be updated from the reservation page or the widget, which can be accessed from the inbox or multi-calendar. Follow the instructions below based on your personal preference or current needs. Your guests will be able to see the breakdown on the check-in form, quotes, and their invoice.

Reservation Page

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, click Reservations.
  3. Click the relevant reservation. You can use the filters above the table to help narrow your search.
  4. In the top-right corner of the "Summary" section, click the pencil icon.
  5. Enter the number of adults, children, and infants in the reservation.
  6. At the top of the section, click Save.

Reservation Widget in the Inbox

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, hover over Inbox.
  3. From the drop-down, select Guests inbox.
  4. Under "All conversations" to the left, click the guest that has the reservation you want to update.
    • If they have more than one reservation, you'll see an arrow next to the confirmation code in the widget to the right. Click the arrow to select the relevant reservation from the drop-down.
  5. In the widget to the right, click .
  6. In the top-right corner of the widget, to the right of the reservation's confirmation code, click the pencil icon.
  7. Click Guests and enter the number of adults, children, and infants in the reservation.
  8. At the bottom of the widget, click Save.

Reservation Widget in the Multi Calendar

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, Click Multi-Calendar.
  3. Click any date on the reservation you want to update.
  4. In the widget to the right, click .
  5. In the top-right corner of the widget, to the right of the reservation's confirmation code, click the pencil icon.
  6. Click Guests and enter the number of adults, children, and infants in the reservation.
  7. At the bottom of the widget, click Save.
