Advanced Website: Editing site images

Use the Image editor to make quick edits to your site images, such as cropping, rotating, or adding text. The Image editor is accessible directly from any location on the canvas where you can add an image, including row or column backgrounds, image widgets, or widgets that include images like the Tabs widget.

Note:

The Image editor is only available from the canvas. You can't access it directly from the Image Picker or Media Manager.

When you edit an image, Guesty creates a new version and saves it under "Site images" in the image picker and media manager. The original image remains unchanged. The new file name includes an autogenerated alphanumeric string at the end, for example: file-name-213f3kv.jpg.

Some widgets offer additional design modifications like drop shadows, borders, and overlays. Check the specific instructions for the widget you are using for more details on these styling options.

Follow the steps below to edit an image.

Step by step:

  1. Select the image or widget.
  2. In the content editor, under the image thumbnail, click the Pencil icon.
