Advanced Website: Creating password protected pages

Add a password to specific pages on your site to restrict access to specific audiences. This is useful for protecting sensitive information, such as a private download page or exclusive content.

Password protected pages provide a single password for a specific page rather than unique logins for different users.

Note:

Anchored pages cannot be password protected. To protect a page, ensure it is not anchored to another page.

Follow the steps below to password protect a page.

  1. In the side panel, click Pages.
  2. Click the horizontal ellipsis on the page you want to password protect.
  3. Click Set page access.
  4. Click Password protected, and enter the required. The character limit is 100 characters
  5. Click Save

This page is now protected by a password.

To remove the password and make the page public, click Open to everyone.

Logging out of a protected page

To log out of a password protected page, clear the cache for the site or browser.

Note:

If you change the password for a page, users who are already logged in remain logged in until they clear their cache.
