This article explains how to resolve issues with receiving Guesty Website form submissions and provides a checklist to ensure the Contact form widget functions correctly.
Note:
- This troubleshooting process only applies to Contact forms built with the Contact form widget.
- If the "Submission recipient" field is empty, the primary email in the content library is used. If no such email exists, the account owner's email is used as the default recipient.
- All responses are sent to the form responses page.
Review the Contact form widget checklist
Follow the steps below to ensure the Contact form is configured correctly:
- Check the "Form Responses" page to confirm the Contact form widget is capturing data. Click the Contact form, then click Form responses to download the data.
- Verify the recipient email address is valid. When entering multiple emails, use a comma without spaces to separate them.
- Check the spam folder on the website.
- Review email filters and blacklist settings to ensure the email provider isn't blocking submissions.
- Add no-reply@multiscreensite.com to the email whitelist.
- Create a new page and insert a new Contact form widget to test functionality.
- Disable custom scripts in the website "Site Settings" to rule out code interference.
If the Contact form doesn't work after completing the checklist, contact the email provider to investigate why the submission emails aren't being received.
Troubleshoot missing form submissions
If form submissions sent via the Contact form widget aren't appearing, the email server is likely filtering the messages as spam.
Check the spam folder for emails from Guesty Websites. If the emails aren't found, whitelist the IP addresses 167.89.22.215 and 149.72.216.48 in the settings of the email provider.
Address custom script interference
If the Contact form works on a mobile site page but fails on the primary page, a custom script is likely interfering with the widget. Reset the page or check the page code for scripts causing the conflict.
