Accepting an Airbnb reservation alteration request from a guest

Guests can make changes to their reservations by submitting an alteration request via Airbnb. These requests will be received in the Guesty Inbox, along with other messages from the guest.

Changes to reservations must be made directly in your Airbnb account.
Any changes made in Guesty won't be synced to your Airbnb account.

Before you begin

  • The alteration request can only be viewed in the relevant Airbnb account
To view the alteration, you must log in to the Airbnb account that reservation alteration was requested/sent to.
  • If an alteration request changes the reservation to more than 30 days, the monthly discount will be applied
Reservations that were originally below the 30-day monthly discount threshold and were extended to 30 days or more will receive the monthly discount retroactively.
  • Before accepting an alteration, make sure to check that your listing allows these changes (e.g., minimum nights, Advanced Notice, etc.)
Learn more about why you might not be able to accept alterations.
  • Pro users: Make sure that dates are available for sub-unit changes
When moving an Airbnb reservation between sub-units within a multi-unit, check that the dates are available in the new sub-unit.
If the sub-unit is unavailable when making the changes in Airbnb, the reservation will be automatically unassigned from the original sub-unit and moved to the multi-unit for reassignment.
