Setting up Guesty's Damage Protection: Explained

This article accompanies our instructions on how to set up Guesty's Damage Protection. During this process, you will be asked to choose a coverage plan, select which reservations the plan should apply to, and confirm your choices. Read below about each field and how they affect the Damage Protection plan.

1. Choose a plan

Select the most appropriate Damage Protection plan based on the coverage amount, cost per reservation, and deductible.

2. Select properties

By default, the Damage Protection plan will apply to all of your existing and future properties. You can click Edit to choose any of the following options:

  • All will apply the plan to all existing and future properties.
    • You can click Exclude properties to exclude specific properties under this option.
  • By rule will apply the plan to any existing or future property that matches the city and/or tags you select.
    • You can click Exclude properties to exclude specific properties under this option.
  • Specific will apply the plan to specific properties.

Note:

By default, the Damage Protection plan will include confirmed reservations and apply to all existing reservations that have already been confirmed and have a future check-in date.

If you uncheck include confirmed reservations with future check in dates, it will only cover new reservations that have a future check-in date and have not yet been confirmed.

3. Confirmation

Review the selected Damage Protection plan details and the terms and conditions before agreeing to them and confirming your choices for the coverage plan.
