Custom fields for reservations that have a yes/no answer can be added as a sending condition to reservations with automated messages.
For example: Let's say you want to send an automated message to remind only guests with pets to bring enough pet food. You can set up a custom field called "has pets" with a yes/no answer, and add this as a sending condition to your automated message. |
After adding the custom field sending condition, it must be activated for the relevant reservation to make sure the message is added to it. If it is not activated before the automated message is scheduled to be sent, the message will not be added to it.
Follow the instructions below to add custom field sending conditions and activate the reservations custom field.

Add the custom field sending condition
Step by Step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Automations.
- Click the relevant message automation, then click the three vertical dots on the right side of it and select Edit.
- If the relevant automated message already exists on the reservation timeline, select it. Otherwise, click any + icon to begin creating a new message.
- Under "Add conditions", click +Add condition.
- Click Search to begin typing the custom field's name or select it from the drop-down.
- Toggle the sending condition on or off, as needed.
- At the bottom of the pop-up, click Done.
Activate the reservation's custom field
Step by Step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Reservations.
- Click the relevant listing.
- In the "Extra information" section, click the pencil icon.
- Scroll down to the relevant custom field and turn on the checkbox.
- At the top of the section, click Save.
