Sending a quote without requiring a payment method from the guest

When sending a quote, you decide whether to set the reservation status to Reserved or Inquiry (i.e., reserve the listing for the potential guest, or leave it vacant).
A link containing the quote will be sent to the guest via email, allowing them to book their stay.
If the guest approves, the reservation status will instantly change to Confirmed.
By default, guests are asked to enter their credit card details to secure their booking. In this case, you'll need to connect a payment processor to Guesty to collect their payment.
You also have the option to disable that requirement. If choosing this option, you'll need to contact the guest to retrieve a valid payment method, record the payment, and manually change the reservation status to Confirmed.
Follow the instructions below to disable the requirement for guests to put their payment details when approving a quote.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Setup mode.
  3. Click Account settings.
  4. Select "Account settings" in the left sidebar, then scroll down to "Quote settings".
  5. Turn off the Require payment method toggle.
All future quotes will be sent without the option to enter payment details.
