Connecting a Merchant Warrior account to Guesty

You can process credit card transactions in Guesty by connecting to an external payment processor, such as Stripe or Merchant Warrior. You can connect multiple Merchant Warrior accounts to your Guesty account and/or use different payment processors, but each listing can only be connected to one account - so it can be connected to Merchant Warrior or Stripe, for example, but not both. Where Merchant Warrior is available

Use Merchant Warrior if you have properties in one of the following countries:

  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Fiji
  • Thailand

Limitations

Once an account has been created and approved, you can’t switch currencies.

You can have different sub-accounts, one for each currency, connected to your Guesty account, but still only one per listing.

To request a new sub-account in an additional currency, contact us.

Connect Merchant Warrior to Guesty

 

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the side navigation menu, click icon Guest payments to open the dropdown menu.
  3. Under General, select Payment processing.
  4. In the top right, click Add payment processor.
  5. Click the Merchant Warrior thumbnail.
  6. In the top-right corner, click Continue.
  7. If you have a Merchant Warrior account, click Skip this step. If you don't, click Create account and continue to the next step once the account is created.
  8. Connect your Merchant Warrior account to Guesty. The required details are found in your Merchant Warrior dashboard:
    • Merchant name
    • Merchant UUID
    • API Key
    • API Passphrase
  9. At the top-right corner, click Connect.

Once connected, some payment-related aspects can be managed in Guesty while others must be managed in Merchant Warrior:

Assign listings to the Merchant Warrior account

If this is the only payment processing account you connected to Guesty, all your listings will be automatically assigned to it. If you connected more than one Merchant Warrior account or if you connected accounts from other payment processors as well, you'll need to decide which account handles the payments for each listing. Follow the instructions to assign a listing to a payment processor.

Once your Merchant Warrior account is connected to listings in Guesty, check which payment-related aspects can be managed in Guesty and which in Merchant Warrior:
