Automated Messages: Message with “channel is Airbnb” sending condition was sent to a Vrbo reservation

The information in this article is relevant only for Guesty Lite users who started connecting Vrbo before 19 Feb 2024 and for Pro users.

When you connect a Vrbo account with Guesty, two Automated Messages are automatically added to your Guesty account. These messages have a "Channel" sending condition that cannot be changed, according to which the message can only be sent if the reservation originated from Vrbo.

Even if you change this sending condition in Guesty to "Channel is Airbnb", it will not override the message's default sending condition and if it is sent, it will only be sent to Vrbo reservations.

The two Vrbo Automated Messaged that are added automatically are:

  • HomeAway auto-created hook for altered reservation
  • HomeAway auto-created hook for confirmed reservation

To prevent this issue from happening in the future, we recommend you not edit these messages.
