Expedia: Reservation was received via email

If you receive an Expedia reservation via email and not through Guesty, we recommend taking the following steps.

Check Expedia booking notification settings

In Expedia, check if the property is set to receive booking notifications by email only. This can be found under the "User Settings" for the property. For more information, contact Expedia directly.

To change this setting, you have two options:

  1. Contact Expedia's Integration or Service Operations teams.
  2. Disconnect and reconnect the Expedia property from Guesty.

Manually create the reservation in Guesty

  1. Create the reservation that was received by email in Guesty.
  2. Manage the reservation manually, by updating it when changes are made.
  3. Contact us to let us know this has happened.
