Why does my message show the sender as N/A?

If the timestamp for your message shows N/A instead of the sender's name, it is most likely due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Airbnb and Booking.com reservations only: If a message (from anyone other than the guest) was sent from Airbnb or Booking.com, it is imported into Guesty. The sender will be set as N/A as Guesty's system cannot distinguish which user sent the message in the channel.
  2. When a message is sent via Guesty’s legacy Open API it is set as N/A.
Explore Guesty's API documentation to learn more about the new Open API, which will display the sender's name and how to migrate it. Please be assured that the message was still sent according to the timestamp displayed. There is no action required in this instance.
