Changing a listing's minimum age requirement

The age requirement for the primary guest making the reservation in Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo may vary depending on the location and the specific property. In general, the minimum age requirement is 18 years old. However, some properties may have higher age restrictions, such as requiring the guest to be at least 25 years old to book or stay at the rental.

Follow the steps below to change the minimum age.

Step by Step:

1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
2. In the top navigation bar, click, the mode selector and select Growth mode.
3. Click Distribution.
4. Click the relevant channel thumbnail.
5. Click the relevant account.
6. Click the relevant listing:
   • For a multi-unit, each sub-unit should be updated individually by accessing the sub-unit's settings.
7. In the left-side menu, click Pricing & Policies.
8. Select Reservation policies from the dropdown.
9. In the "House rules" section on the right, click Edit.
10. Under "Primary guest's minimum age", enter a new minimum age.
    The minimum age allowed is typically 18. Entering an age under the minimum age is not permitted. 
11. Click Save.

The updated minimum age will appear in the booking channel within 24 hours.
