Messages sent to guests do not include attachments in Vrbo

When sending a message to a guest in the Guesty Inbox via Channel Inbox, HTML formatting is not supported. Therefore, file attachments such as images, PDFs, or Word/Excel documents cannot be sent in guest messages.

As a workaround, you can send attachments directly to the guest's private email from the Guesty Inbox. Follow these instructions to update the guest's primary email address.


  1. If the primary address is the proxy email provided by the booking channel, the message will be sent to the guest's inbox in the booking channel.
  2. If the primary address is the guest's private email, the message will be sent as a direct email.
