Adding a pet fee to sync with Vrbo

Guesty Lite users:

If you connected Vrbo after 19 Feb 2024, this action must be taken in Vrbo. If you connected prior to this date, follow the instructions below.

If you want your pet fee to sync with Vrbo automatically, you need to first ensure your listing settings allow pets, then add the pet fee to each listing individually.  Follow the instructions below.

Important:  

Vrbo does not require a pet fee for service animals.You can find more information in Vrbo's service animal policy.

Allow pets in listing

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Select the relevant listing. For a multi-unit, edit the main settings and the house rules will update in the sub-units automatically.
  5. In the menu to the left, click Pricing & Policies.
  6. From the drop-down, select Reservation policies.
  7. Scroll down to the "House rules" section.
  8. To the right of "House rules", click Edit.
  9. Turn the toggle on for "Are pets allowed?".
  10. Click the button for "Charges may apply".
  11. In the top-right corner of the page, click Save.

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.

  5. In the side menu, click Pricing & Policies.
  6. From the drop-down, select Pricing.
  7. In the "Basic fees" section, click Edit.
  8. Under "Pet fee", enter the relevant amount and decide if the fee should apply per pet per stay or per pet per night.
  9. Click Save.
