Connecting Vrbo to Guesty (Lite)

If you have a Vrbo account ID number in the Guesty integration page, follow the instructions in this article.

Integrating your Vrbo account with Guesty can streamline your vacation rental management process, providing you with centralized control and enhanced efficiency. Whether you're transitioning from another channel manager or Property Management Software (PMS) or simply seeking to optimize your operations, this guide offers you a comprehensive walkthrough to ensure a seamless connection between Vrbo and Guesty.

Note:

  • You can connect only one Vrbo account to Guesty.
  • When connecting Guesty Lite to Vrbo, you don't need to contact Vrbo as everything is handled in Guesty. An Advertiser ID is not required for this connection.

Troubleshooting common connection issues

Before you begin

Complete the following steps before beginning the connection process.

  • If you haven't done so yet, first connect your Airbnb account to Guesty
  • Ensure your listing is listed.
  • Disconnect any other PMS or channel manager provider in Vrbo, identified as an “Advertiser” or “Software” integrated on your account.

Connect your Vrbo account to Guesty

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click Channels and select Vrbo.
  3. Click Connect Guesty to your Vrbo account.
  4. Enter your Vrbo email and password, then click Send code.
  5. Enter the verification code received by SMS to the phone number you provided.
  6. At the top right, click Next.
  7. On the next screen, your Vrbo listings will appear. To the right of each listing, click the dropdown menu and select the corresponding Guesty listing to link. If no listings appear, make sure they have been created in Vrbo first.
  8. At the top right, click Next.
  9. Next to the Guesty integration email provided, click Copy.
  10. Click Visit Vrbo to access your account and add the copied integration email as your second email called "Email 2". Learn more about forwarding guest communication from Vrbo to Guesty.

The linked listing(s) will change from "Pending" to "Connected", usually within one hour. Learn more about where to manage your Vrbo data.
