Troubleshooting: Listing status discrepancies between Airbnb and Guesty

This article explains what to do if a listing's status in Guesty integration page doesn't match the lsiting's actual status on Airbnb. This discrepancy can occur because the status in Guesty is based on the last data sync and is not a real-time check.

For example, Guesty might show a listing as "Not bookable" even though it's active on Airbnb, or as "Bookable" even though it's unlisted.

Check the listing's status on Airbnb

Before making any changes in Guesty, check the listing directly on Airbnb to confirm if the status in Guesty is outdated.

Refresh the listing's data

If the statuses between Airbnb and Guesty don't match, refresh the listing's data in Guesty.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the side navigation menu, click icon Marketing and sales to open the dropdown menu.
  3. Under Channel management, select Distribution.
  4. Open the Airbnb integration.
  5. Select the relevant Airbnb account.
  6. Click the Listings tab.
  7. Click Fetch new listings.
  8. Wait a a few minutes for the sync to complete.

    Note:

The "Bookable" status may not update immediately if Airbnb doesn't finish syncing.

  9. Hard reload the browser's page:
    • Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Brave: Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R
    • Safari: Press Option + Cmd + E to empty the cache, then press Cmd + R to reload.
  10. Check if the listing's status updated in the "Bookable" column.

If the status is still incorrect

If the "Bookable" status is still incorrect after refreshing the data, verify the following:

For more information on how data syncs between platforms, see our article on Troubleshooting: Airbnb listing content sync.

If the status remains inaccurate, contact Guesty support. Provide the affected listing's details and include screenshots of the status shown in both Guesty and Airbnb.
